These terms cover your use of Hubwald, a shared household hub for families and caregivers. By signing in, you agree to them.
Hubwald is invite-only. You need either a signup code from a participating placement agency, or a direct invitation from a family that's already using Hubwald. Signing in with Google confirms you're the person the invite or code was intended for.
Each family has one admin, who controls who else is invited in as a parent or caregiver. Parents have full access to their family's hub; caregivers get day-to-day access without admin-only settings like managing membership or au pair pay settings. The admin can transfer ownership to another parent, or permanently delete the family's account, at any time.
Hubwald is a household organization tool — a shared calendar, contacts, notes, meal planning, and au pair scheduling. It is not a medical, legal, financial, or emergency service. Information you store about a child's allergies, doctor, or insurance is for your own family's reference; always rely on qualified professionals and, in a genuine emergency, call your local emergency number directly rather than relying on this app.
Hubwald includes an AI assistant that can answer questions about your household's data and propose changes to it. It never makes a change without your explicit confirmation. Like any AI system, its answers can occasionally be wrong or incomplete — treat it as a helpful assistant, not an authoritative source, especially for anything safety-related.
Connecting a Google account lets Hubwald create and manage a calendar on your family's behalf, including inviting guests to events you create. You can disconnect this at any time from the Family tab; doing so stops new invites from going out until you reconnect.
The Family plan is a paid subscription billed by Stripe on the interval you choose (monthly, every 6 months, or annually), starting after any free trial ends. You can cancel anytime from the Billing Portal (Family tab); canceling stops future renewals but doesn't refund the current billing period. A family that lapses back to the free plan keeps its existing data, just with the free plan's feature limits back in place.
Program: Hubwald Sitter Request. A parent adds a babysitter's phone number to their family's account and can text them one-off babysitting job details (date, time, pay, and any notes) directly from the app. Babysitters reply YES, NO, or CHANGE by text; once a parent confirms one, both the parent and babysitter receive a text with coordination details.
A babysitter is never sent a job request until they've explicitly opted in by replying to a one-time text asking for consent. Reply STOP at any time to opt out of future messages, or HELP for help. Message frequency varies with how often a family posts a job. Message and data rates may apply. For support, contact us at the email below.
Hubwald is not a party to any agreement a parent makes with a babysitter about pay, hours, or the work itself — Sitter Request only coordinates the scheduling and communication.
Use Hubwald for its intended purpose: running your own household. Don't use it to store or share unlawful content, attempt to access another family's data, or interfere with the service's normal operation.
You own the information you put into Hubwald. We store and process it only to provide the service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Hubwald is under active development and provided on an "as is" basis, without warranty of any kind. Features, and this beta itself, may change. We run nightly backups, but you're responsible for keeping your own copies of anything irreplaceable.
A family admin can delete the family's entire account and data at any time from the app, or by contacting us. We may suspend access if these terms are violated.
If these terms change in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
